Post 41- GAY, Straight, Bi? Irrelevant

This is my 41st post in dedication to Adam Jonas Segaller.   I've has a few random hits by other people searching on Google for him. One was 'Adam Jonas Segaller private life' and a few for 'Adam Jonas Segaller gay'.  Again, it is irrelevant to me if he is gay or not. Regardless I will never tickle his fancy. It has nothing to do with how much I would or wouldn't like to see him perform nor the quality of his talent. It isn't the 1950's anymore... thank god.

I am curious about his private life though.  I actually have no idea if I would actually like to hang out with him in person either. Actors need to be a little overly self-confident to make it... and that is not one of my favorite personality traits!

Anyway...more Adam please UNIVERSE!

Have a happy new year!

For Christmas From Julian and Adam

Dear Julian Fellowes,

Please use Adam in your New York in the 1800's series.   Adam looks great in anything from  The Gilded Age.  Obviously he is a talented actor with much expereince.  I want to hear his voice and see him in this so much.

Thanks,
You know who.

Thoughts on Downstage Confessions

I'm really enjoying this little web episode show.   The two main guys are really funny, entertainingly neurotic and  well played by --
  • Eric Messner as Stephen Wunder and
  • Peter Stray as Max Templeton.

Read more at http://www.webserieschannel.com/downstage-confessions/.

I do miss seeing Adam in historical dress...and his character is this is really very unsympathetic. You aren't supposed to like his character, Jeremy Danvers.   Eric and Peter's characters are very likable  It certainly isn't a  showcase for Adam....but it is giving me some cute images of him.

I've only watched up till episode 9...and that was filmed two years ago or more I think.

Nikon and Coupon Bug Ad?

New entry on his website----

CURRENTLY:

This month, Adam shot commercials for Coupon Bug and Nikon.

Hmmm....web searches find nothing. I'm sure they are in production at this point but you can't blame me for looking.
I 'hope' the Nikon commercial is not in line with the irritating Ashton Kucher ones.    I really don't find Ashton that apealing.

Young, Pretty and Bearded

More Adam in Downstage Confessions

Stare us down Adam!

More Downstage Confessions

In the next webisode of Downstage Confessions  I noticed the amazing music added. In the beginning they are at a party and The National song is playing.  Perfect!   Then at the end when Peter's character exclaims "Who is that in the kitchen!" then it goes right into credits......the Lord of the Rings battle theme comes on. Kudos music guy/gal!

Downstage Confessions

Adam was in Drunk Enough To Say I love You with Peter Stray who writes and stars in this web based comedy series. Adam shows up in the 6th episode playing a new competing English actor named Jeremy Danvers.  See this episode here.

oh, so ADORABLE. Did I mention how kissable his necks looks?  I know, I'll try to stop acting like a teenager!

He is here in the kitchen talking to Heather Handy (who he was in Hedda Gabler with.)

Carnegie with his Mentor

From The Men who Built America

Andrew Carnegie Walking

Slow motion from Men Who built America.... yum

Image Theft

So, I'm getting rather frustrated that I have no more images of him so I watched the little clip on history Channel.com about Carnegie from Men who Built America and got some.  I think he walks very stiff in a few  scenes...I wonder why....holding back, trying to to be a famous historical rich guy?

yes, please.

Drunk Enough To Say I Love You?

by Caryl Churchill
directed by John Vreeke

Featuring Adam Jonas Segaller and Peter Stray

October 11–November 2, 2008 at H Street Playhouse

From review by David Siegel
"Segaller is the “top” in this world, at first a quietly confident Dom; provocative, handsomely sexy, with a lean body and loving touches as he coos love. But over time, his mean streaks come to the fore as does his internal fears of being unloved; always needing attention and affection. In some scenes he wears a “wife-beater” undershirt so that his well-honed upper body and arms are a sensual prop. He is all swagger and posturing as he deflects any thought that his views of life are not quite right. He has a carapace that does not let others inside; until affection is withdrawn and then the hurt of a little boy comes forth. Stray skillfully plays the more submissive men needed in his role. He leaves his unseen wife and nurturing “feminine” family for the strutting Segaller with some doubts, for sure, but leaves he does for the more muscular, manlier partner. At first he is reactive and only wanting to see the good in his new partner. “I can’t say no” is one of his first lines. But, over time, he thinks more deeply and begins to cool in his ardor. At blackout the relationship is in tatters. The kisses between the two start as passionate and their touches as lovers are all of building warmth between them, but as this short piece of agit-prop continues along, the kisses become colder and the touches more of a power relationship than of love."

"Guy would do anything for Sam. Sam would do anything. But when Sam wants total, unquestioning commitment, what's a guy to do? On one level a dissection of a dysfunctional relationship, Drunk Enoughis also an incisive look at U.S. foreign policy and the seduction of power. The perfect play to reexamine our nation's place in the world as we enter this pivotal election season."

He he ... titillating.

Open Forum's Blog Interview

"Hi Adam. Take a second to tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up? When did you move to DC?
I was born in London, England. My father is an Englishman and my mother is from Flushing Meadows; they met when she went to England to study. We lived in London until I was six, then moved to Massachusetts and finally New Jersey.
I moved to DC just under a year ago, in order to play the eponymous character in Rorschach Theater's Kit Marlowe. They put me up for the run of the show, and at the end I found I didn't want to leave. So... I didn't.

Banqo in a Modern Macbeth

Apparently he was in a summer theatre production of Macbeth. This version takes place in rural Afghanistan.
That is OBVIOUSLY Adam there in profile.  The problem is at the beginning of this Shutterfly album on this production- Banquo is listed as played by Tony von Halle.  I guess it was some sort of  switch but I am curious of the order. Did it start out with Adam and then Tony took the part or vice versa? I'm annoyed at all the other articles on this have Adam's name...but spelled horribly wrong. No letter D in ADAM makes for a funny looking Aam.  What kind of name is that!

see here-
"The actors are Jeff Burchfield (as Duncan), Paul Pontrelli (as Malcolm), Akeem Folkes (as Donaldbain), BrIan Richardson (as Macbeth), Renee Flemings (as Lady Macbeth), Aam Jonas Segaller (as Banquo), Danny Makali'I Mittermeyer (as Macduff), Shawn Williams (as Lennox), Mathew J, Harris (as Ross), Mia Anderson (as Angus); Wendy Snow, Erica Chambers and Regina Gibson (as The Witches), Gregory Wool (as Fleance), Kara Addington (as Mentieth) and Leigh Ellen Caudill (as Lady Macduff).

Walking in the Street

I think this was taken during the filming of the scene (in the first episode of The Men Who Built America) where Andrew Carnegie walks out of the bridge building office and then sees the blacksmith working and gets the steel idea. I really do like this one. It is like he has a little smirk as he tries to keep in a laugh.

Adam as Bob Cratchit

Although facial-hairless Adam is not my favorite I have to admit he does look rather sweet in this picture.

Since it is Christmas time I thought this was a good highlight to talk about
since the story is (obviously) taken from A Christmas Carol.
Here is more information on this performance of this play. http://galleryplayers.com/plays/mrsbob/

Heather Haney and Adam Jonas Segaller From Hedda Gabler

This photo I found on an image search for Adam.   believe it is from Hedda Gabler. Adam plays Ejlert Lövborg. Read more on this production by the Washington Shakespeare Company

"The most significant contribution adapter Upton adds to the text is the imposition of naturalistic dialogue: halts, awkward pauses, simultaneous speeches. Aside from asking them to declaim while riding a unicycle, this is about the most difficult thing a playwright can require of actors. When it works – as it does, brilliantly when Hedda confronts, and then comforts, an old lover (Adam Jones Segaller) early in Act two – it is a thing of beauty, and it melts our hearts. --FEBRUARY 16, 2008 BY

I think they may have been in other things together.  This 2009 Constellation Theatre pamphlet has Heather in it.  I cannot find Adam's name but it came up when I searched for him. Hmmm?  Oh I found him, he donated 25$ to the group...well that does not help!

Learn about Heather...boy, she can do a lot!   http://www.heatherhaney.com/Site/HeatherHaney.com.html

In a Commercial!

"Up to Massachusetts for my first agency-booked gig- I play a scientist!

...in a coupon commercial."

Is what Adam posted today on Facebook.   I wonder what commercial?

Kit Marlow

In 2007 Adam was in Kit Marlowe at the Rorschach Theater playing the title character. I found this preview clip and most of the other information on this at their website - http://rorschachtheatre.blogspot.com

The clip was a treat because I got a lot more emotion and skin out of Adam then ever before...but poor quality and so quick... not enough.

Here or there I have wondered about his private life.... is he with someone, is he gay?  I surmise that it matters in the least because he can do what he wants in his personal life and I can still like to watch him. I don't know why some people get all uppity about that...it isn't like they had a chance with the famous person anyway.

Oh, I almost saw Adam's ass in that clip...giggle!

A young Adam on the Subway...no facial hair?

No Imagination?

I'm getting rather frustrated. I can't find any more information or pictures of him. I am happy the short he is in called 'no Imagination' is now on the IMDb site.
look here- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2545860/
That is new at least.

My 'On Demand' system on the TV is no longer showing "The Men Who Built..." first episode. I can't find ---Allan Hendry 2012---- on the web episode of Mystery at the Museum. I COULD tell it was him walking as the ax murderer in the other episode but I know I am pushing it with these crappy photos of the TV!

Give me more Adam please.  Thanks
